Gala Gala Cave: Only One Lembongan Under Ground House

This underground house, built by Mangku Byasa in 1961 using traditional tools such as crowbars over a period of 15 years, was originally constructed for the purpose of limestone extraction, but was eventually repurposed into a residence.

Finding the house is easy because there is a sign at the entrance of the alley indicating Underground House. It is located about 50 meters from the Hutong entrance to Goa Gala-Gala. However, in the area of the house, you will find a corner terrace with a hole of about 3 meters, which is almost identical. These holes serve as the entrance to the underground house, and you can descend the stairs through them. You can observe the earth's pillars and branches in various directions. Once inside the cave, it feels like a maze, but you can find designated spaces such as a dining room, bedroom, and living room, all with stone-carved chairs on the floor. Additionally, you can find many meditation spots created by Mangku Byasa with intricately designed walls.
